ICL COBOL to IBM COBOL Conversion

This course provides instruction in writing and executing COBOL programs on the IBM mainframe for those COBOL programmers coming from an ICL platform.  Both COBOL-II and COBOL/370 are covered.

 

Audience

The course is intended for those programmers who have used COBOL for a number of years and are either:

Prerequisites

The course is suited to all experienced COBOL programmers.  It is not intended for anyone new to COBOL.  In addition, unless having previous IBM mainframe experience, attendance of the z/OS MVS Concepts, Using TSO/ISPF and Using z/OS MVS JCL courses is strongly advised.

Duration

2 - 4 days depending on the level of detail that is required.  Practical exercises will also extend the duration.
