UNIX FUNDAMENTALS FOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS
This course introduces the UNIX operating system, commands, the file system, the vi editor, printing,
utilities, shell scripting, sed, awk, and basic system administration of a UNIX
environment. Although it is an introduction to the UNIX operating system and system administration,
it is intended to provide more than just an overview to many of its features.
Audience
The intended audience is for those who have little or no previous experience of working in a Sun
Solaris UNIX environment.
Prerequisites
Experience and understanding of another computer operating system is assumed.
Duration
5 days, hands-on.
Course Objectives
On completion of this course, the delegate will be able to:
